01 · VISION IN DEVELOPMENT
Learning environments
Imagine spaces shaped around a child’s movement, attention and growing independence. Each environment would invite adults to observe what becomes possible when preparation begins with the child.
THE UNIVERSITY OF THE CHILD · A VISION IN DEVELOPMENT
Imagine educators, researchers, artists, families and practitioners gathering to explore what helps children flourish. Rooted in South Africa, open to the world.
A vision taking shape · Proposed facilities, not an operating or accredited university.
WHY THIS VISION
The ambition is to bring study, practice, research, nature and cultural life into conversation. A living environment could help people encounter the conditions for flourishing, then carry that understanding into their own work.
THE FIRST CHAPTER
The Institute’s educational pathways are the present starting point. The wider University vision describes what could grow around that work over time.
