IDEAS INTO PRACTICE

What you will explore.

The themes below introduce the educational focus. Your confirmed programme handbook will specify the curriculum and requirements.

01

Montessori and leadership

Connect institutional decisions with an understanding of Montessori principles and developmental needs.

02

Supporting educators

Reflect on mentoring, professional growth and the relationships that help a teaching community flourish.

03

School culture and communication

Consider clear, respectful communication with families, colleagues and the wider community.

04

Planning and stewardship

Explore the role of strategic planning in sustaining an educational mission over time.

05

Quality and reflection

Consider observation and review as ways to understand practice and guide meaningful improvement.

THE LEARNING EXPERIENCE

Knowledge becomes practice.

Connect Montessori principles with leadership practice through presentations, discussion, small-group work, reflection and observation. Apply learning to relationships, organisational decisions and the development of a school community.

A community of learners

Bring your questions and your experience. Professional preparation asks us to examine our own responses as carefully as the environments we prepare for children.

Study commitment

The brochure describes an eight-day in-person option and a twelve-week online option. The 2022 Institute handbook relates to an eight-day course. These are reference formats; the next offering is to be confirmed.

Where this pathway can lead
